The brands we carry – and why we chose them
Blankdays started in 2018 as Johan Lundell’s own label in Jönköping – simple, well-made basics without big logos. That is still the heart of what we do. But in our store on Smedjegatan, and here online, you will also find a small group of other brands.
We don’t try to carry everything. Every brand on our shelves is there because it shares the same idea as we do: fewer, better things, made with care and designed to be worn for years rather than a season. We simply call them our friends.
Blankdays – our own label
Our own garments are the foundation of a minimalist wardrobe: t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, shirts and linen. For the Blankdays label we work with GOTS-certified organic cotton and Tencel from carefully selected producers in Europe, and our linen comes from Somelos in Portugal. A good place to start is The T-shirt Bright White – the garment everything else is built around.
Universal Works
Universal Works is a British brand founded in 2009 by David Keyte. The garments are inspired by workwear and British heritage, with a strong focus on fit, fabric and thoughtful details – clothes that feel familiar from the first day you wear them.
This season we especially like the Zip Waistcoat Wool Fleece Olive, an easy layer between shirt and jacket, and the soft David Alpaca Cardigan Navy.
Coor
COOR – short for Common Origins – is a label from Seoul built on simplicity, balance and quiet elegance. Clean cuts and refined materials, made in Korea, with small details that reward a closer look, like buttons in natural cow horn.
Look out for the Chesterfield Coat with Corduroy Trim and the Straight Cut Sand Washed Jeans.
Rhea
Rhea brings soft wool and cashmere into everyday life, with sustainability as a cornerstone. Knitwear, t-shirts and trousers for women with a calm, refined expression – warm, tactile pieces made to live in, season after season. Try the Crew Wool Cashmere.
MeiMeij
Behind MeiMeij is a designer who grew up following her mother’s work in a tailoring workshop and later trained in fashion design and pattern making at Istituto Secoli in Milan. The result is feminine, modern womenswear with sculpted silhouettes, made in Italy. Our favourite is the Wool Unlined Coat with its wide shawl collar.
Sofie Schnoor
Sofie Schnoor is a Danish fashion brand founded in 2001, combining feminine elegance with a raw, Scandinavian edge. Relaxed everyday pieces like the Parossw Oversize Sweatshirt Olive fit naturally next to our own basics.
Kintsugi and Oddity – fragrance as the final detail
A simple wardrobe leaves room for one personal signature: scent. Kintsugi Perfumes creates niche fragrances inspired by Japanese philosophy and made in Grasse – warm, unisex scents like Santal, with cardamom, iris, sandalwood and leather.
Oddity was created by a design collective and makes artistic, conceptual fragrances. Dead Air, by perfumer Mark Buxton, is a salty, dark scent that is hard to forget.
