Universal Works

Universal Works is a British clothing brand founded in 2009 by David Keyte. The collections draw on workwear and British subcultures, with relaxed cuts, honest fabrics and practical details such as patch pockets. The clothes feel familiar without being nostalgic, which is why they sit so well next to our own essentials.

Tailoring without the stiffness

The Two Button Jacket is a softly tailored take on the suit jacket, with a relaxed fit and patch pockets. We carry it in recycled Italian tweed and in a dark navy wool mix, where it can be worn with the matching JJ Waistcoat and Pleated Track Pant as an easy suit. The Pleated Track Pant is one of the brand's best sellers: loose at the top, tapered towards the hem and with a drawstring waist.

Layers and knitwear

The Zip Waistcoat and Wool Fleece Cardigan are made to be worn over a shirt or t-shirt and under a jacket. The David cardigan is knitted in an alpaca and wool blend, and the Navy Merino Fine Knit Tee is made on a Japanese machine that knits the whole garment in one piece, so it has no side seams.

Shirts, chinos and jackets
