Fragrance as an art project

Oddity is a niche perfume brand created by a design collective. Each fragrance is treated as a conceptual project, built around images and memories rather than trends. The scents are made with master perfumers Mark Buxton and David Chieze, produced in small batches and compliant with strict IFRA standards.

The bottles

Every bottle has a handmade cap of wood cast in epoxy resin. Because each cap is made by hand, the shapes and patterns vary, and no two bottles are exactly alike.

Four scents

Naked Dance (Mark Buxton, 2021) is warm and floral, with orange blossom, green tea, rice, lily and iris over white musk, incense and sandalwood. Dead Air (Mark Buxton, 2022) is salty and dark, like a sea breeze at night, with violet leaf, a salt accord, dates, oakwood and patchouli. Delulu (David Chieze, 2025) is playful and fruity, with rhubarb, strawberry jam, raspberry and blackcurrant. Resonant (David Chieze, 2025) is citrusy and sharp, with yuzu, ginger and a cold metal note over musk and guaiac wood.
