MEN'S T-SHIRTS IN ORGANIC COTTON & TENCEL™

Blankdays t-shirts for men are built the same way as everything else we make: to be worn for years, not one season. We offer two fabric options depending on how you'll use the tee — a 180 gr/sqm GOTS-certified organic cotton for a classic, everyday feel, and a 180 gr/sqm Tencel™ and cotton blend with a silkier, more luxurious hand. Both are cut in a tailored, true-to-size fit with discreet blindstitching and forward-shifted side seams for a flattering silhouette staples in our wardrobe essentials range. Made in Barcelos, Portugal.

WHAT SETS A BLANKDAYS T-SHIRT APART

Most t-shirts look identical on a hanger. The difference shows after the twentieth wash.A cheap tee is usually a single, thin cotton jersey that stretches out of shape at the collar and loses its colour within a season. Blankdays cotton tee sits at 180 gr/sqm, preshrunk with a silicone finish so it doesn't shrink or stiffen the way untreated cotton does. The Tencel™ tee is woven at the same 180 gr/sqm weight, but from a blend of Tencel™ lyocell and GOTS-certified cotton the fibre, not the weight, is what gives it a silkier surface and superior breathability compared to cotton alone.Chain-stitched shoulder seams with neck tape keep the shoulder line from stretching out. Blindstitched sleeves and hem keep the finish clean instead of showing a visible seam. Side seams are shifted forward rather than running straight down the body, which removes the boxy "sweatshirt" feel that most basic tees have. Nothing is printed and there are no external labels — just a white logo embroidery inside the neck, so the garment reads as considered rather than logo'd.

The Tencel™ tee is offered in a tighter, more elevated palette: Black, White, Dark Navy, Dark Olive and Apricot Orange. For a smarter alternative, the Tencel™ and organic cotton piqué polo comes in Navy and White with a ribbed collar and Corozo buttons. Black and white cover the basics. Navy is the easiest layering colour after black. Grey Melange and Army Olive add texture without asking for attention. The accent shades Coral Orange, Surf Yellow, Apricot Orange, Deep Burgundy are there for the days a plain tee feels like too little.

HOW TO STYLE YOUR T-SHIRT FOR MEN

A t-shirt is the most repeated purchase in any wardrobe, but it carries more outfits than people give it credit for.Everyday look: Tee, straight jeans, white sneakers. The default for a reason works in every colour in the range.

Layered: Wear the tee under an open overshirt from our shirts collection, a shacket or unstructured blazer. The Tencel™ blend has enough body to hold its shape as a base layer without disappearing underneath.

Smart-casual: Swap the tee for the piqué polo, add tailored trousers and loafers. Keeps the same relaxed feel with a slightly more finished silhouette for the office or dinner.

Monochromatic: Tee and trousers in the same tone — black on black, navy on navy. Simple to put together and reads considered rather than lazy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT T-SHIRTS FOR MEN

What's the difference between the cotton tee and the Tencel™ tee

Fibre, not weight both are 180 gr/sqm. The cotton tee is 100% organic cotton for a classic, breathable everyday feel. The Tencel™ tee blends Tencel™ lyocell with organic cotton for a silkier surface and a fuller drape, closer to a premium basic than a plain cotton tee.

How should a t-shirt fit?

The shoulder seam should sit at your natural shoulder point, not drop past it. Sleeves should reach roughly mid-bicep to just above the elbow. The body should skim without clinging or ballooning. A tailored, true-to-size fit works in more situations than a slim or oversized cut.

Do the t-shirts shrink in the wash?

The cotton tee is preshrunk with a silicone finish, and both fabrics are GOTS-certified. Wash cold at 30–40°C and avoid the tumble dryer that's what causes most shrinkage and stiffening in cotton tees.

How long does a Blankdays t-shirt last?

Properly cared for, both the cotton and Tencel™ tees are built to outlast a typical fast-fashion tee by several years. Chain-stitched shoulder seams and preshrunk, stable fabric are what keep the shape and colour from breaking down after repeated washing.

Can a t-shirt work at the office?

On its own, the tee is casual. Under a blazer or overshirt with tailored trousers, it works in most relaxed office environments or swap it for the piqué polo for a slightly more finished look without losing the same easy fit.

Which t-shirt colour should I choose?

Black or white as a first pair both go with everything. Navy or Grey Melange next for layering. If you already own the neutrals, Coral Orange, Surf Yellow or Apricot Orange add colour without clashing with the rest of a minimalist wardrobe.
