Blankdays – Swedish menswear essentials

Fewer, better garments since 2018

Blankdays is our own Swedish menswear label, founded in 2018 by Johan Lundell in Jönköping. After almost twenty years in the fashion industry he wanted to do the opposite of fast fashion: make the everyday garments you reach for most, and make them properly. This page gathers everything we make under our own name.

The essentials

The core of the range is the t-shirt, the shirt, the sweatshirt, the hoodie and the zip hoodie. Add trousers, linen for warm days and the small things that finish a wardrobe: caps, merino socks and boxer shorts.

Materials and production

We use GOTS-certified organic cotton, TENCEL™, linen and non-mulesed merino wool. Most garments are made by a handful of small factories in Braga and Barcelos in northern Portugal, while our socks and hats are knitted in Gällstad, Sweden, in a mill running entirely on wind power. Every garment is pre-shrunk, and size and care are printed inside, so there are no labels to cut off. Read more about our sustainability work.

The name

Every Blankdays garment carries five rows of stitching, one for each working day kept blank, free from meetings and noise. We sell only through our own webshop and our store at Smedjegatan 15 in Jönköping, with no middlemen in between. Read the full story on our about page.

Frequently asked questions

Where are Blankdays clothes made?

Most of our garments are made by small factories in Braga and Barcelos in northern Portugal. Our socks and hats are knitted in Gällstad, Sweden. Everything is designed in Jönköping.

Do Blankdays clothes shrink in the wash?

No. Every garment is pre-shrunk and treated so it keeps its fit and feel wash after wash. Follow the care instructions printed inside, and see our care guide.

Can women wear Blankdays?

Yes. Our sizes are based on men's sizes, and our size XS corresponds roughly to a women's S/M. Read more about fit on our women page.

Can I try the clothes on before I buy?

Yes, visit our store at Smedjegatan 15 in Jönköping. It is open Monday to Friday 11–18 and Saturday 11–16.

What is the difference between Blankdays and the other brands you sell?

Blankdays is our own label, focused on everyday essentials. Next to it we carry a few brands we believe in, such as Universal Works, Rhea, Coor and niche perfumes.
