Men’s Wardrobe Essentials

The pieces you reach for every day

A good wardrobe is not about owning a lot. It is about owning the right things: a handful of pieces that fit well, work together and last for years. That is the idea Blankdays was founded on, and this page collects the essentials we would start with.

Tops

A shirt in 100% TENCEL™ works with jeans, chinos and under a blazer, and comes in colours from White and Black to Navy, Army Olive and Beach Yellow. A linen shirt takes over when it gets warm. For everyday comfort there are sweatshirts and hoodies in GOTS-certified organic cotton, and TENCEL™ sweatshirts with a softer, smoother feel.

Trousers

The Blankdays chino is made from 65% TENCEL™ and 35% cotton, in Desert Beige and Dark Navy, with short and long leg lengths. It has a tailored fit and a small extra pocket inside the right front pocket. See all our trousers.

Fewer, better pieces

Everything here is designed in Sweden and made in Portugal, without prints and without labels on the outside. Neutral colours make every piece easy to combine with the rest. Add a t-shirt underneath and you have the base of a wardrobe. Read more about how we make our clothes.

Frequently asked questions

Which essentials should I start with?

A few t-shirts, a shirt, a sweatshirt or hoodie and a pair of chinos. In neutral colours they can be combined in most ways.

Which colours are easiest to combine?

Black, white, navy and beige work with almost everything. See our black clothing and white clothing.

What is the shirt made of?

The shirt is made from 100% TENCEL™, a fibre made from wood pulp. It feels smooth and cool and keeps its shape through the day.

How do the chinos fit?

The chinos have a tailored fit and come in short and long leg lengths. Size M in the long version corresponds to W32 L34.

Do the clothes have prints or logos?

No prints and no labels on the outside. There is only a small logo embroidery at the neck.
